Full Service Design

After a meeting with you in which we discuss scope of work, wants/needs, budget, and design inspiration, a "Trade Day" is scheduled with our trades to have all the nuts and bolts of a project in hand. Then, your job is to sit back, review, and approve our floor plans, elevations, renderings, and selections.

Order Management

We manage and communicate with our vendors, trades, and contractors, place and receive orders on your behalf, and oversee the project for true peace of mind.

New Construction & Remodel Design

Remodel checklist, calendar, and remodel packet (includes floor plan, elevations, renderings, and finishes' selections) to stay on top of details throughout your project

At KBI, we recommend having our firm involved at the inception of the project. We provide the floor plans, elevations, and renderings needed to present your project to our trusted and talented contractors for bidding.

01. STEP ONE

GET TO KNOW YOU AND YOUR PROJECT

We start with a phone consultation where we learn more about your project and review our signature process. We then send over our interior design agreement, collect your deposit, and review our project's timeline and budget estimate with you. After going over your inspiration, we hold an on-site meeting that we call our Trade Day, where we invite any tradespeople who will be involved in the project for quoting, measuring, and pictures.

02. STEP two

PREPARING FOR THE PRESENTATION

Upon approval of floor plans, elevations, renderings, and conceptual ideas, we present finish selections. This information goes into our Total Project Presentation, which is reviewed alongside our project budget for final approval before ordering takes place. After placing our orders, assessing delivery times and coordinating item reception at our warehouse, we set a definitive project calendar.

02.

03. STEP three

CONSTRUCTION/REMODEL PERIOD, INSTALLATION, & REVEAL

We receive and store orders at our warehouse, so we can manage any needed returns and track delivery timelines on your behalf. Once all items have arrived and the construction or remodel of your space has been completed (if applicable), we deliver and install all furnishings, window coverings, rugs, and decor items, styling and photographing each space prior to our favorite part—the client reveal.

03.

04. STEP four

IDENTIFY & RESOLVE DEFICIENCIES

We're not finished until every detail is exactly the way you envisioned. At our final reveal, we do a walkthrough together to mark down items for resolution in your space. We review your Care Handbook so you're aware of how to properly care for your new items, and close out the project once all details have been resolved. Your job? To enjoy your beautiful new space!

04.

You ask, we answer.

Our signature full service design packages require one complete room designed from conception to execution of the project.  We plan the space, present our design concept, order and receive all furnishings and decor, and install everything on your behalf, for a true white glove design experience.

Where we source our furnishings, accessories, and window coverings depends fully on our clients' design concepts and project budgets. We work with local workrooms and our preferred trade vendors, but we can also source from retail stores if the quality and aesthetic aligns with our and our clients' vision for the project.

Unlike many other firms, we do not have a minimum room budget, but your project does have to be at minimum a complete, single-room design from conception to execution.

Furnishings for single room projects take six months. Remodels and new builds can take up to one year from conception to completion.

In short, the sooner, the better. We advise to hire an interior designer prior to contracting a builder and/or architect. This allows us to establish a design concept so bidding can be done accurately and efficiently. We can also help recommend reputable and trusted contractors or remodelers if we begin work together in the beginning stages of your project.

Anywhere from 15-25 hours. Of course, this depends on how detailed your plan is and your project goals.

Of course! We're happy to partner with your contractor, remodeler, or trades. We prefer to partner with you in the beginning stages of your project so we can ensure your vision will be executed exactly the way you want.

IT'S TIME TO FEEL AT HOME IN YOUR ELEVATED SPACE.
